Application of Special Conductive Carbon Black in Machinery
Mechanical special conductive carbon black utilizes the excellent anti friction, wear resistance, and lubrication properties of graphite. It has good thermal stability, high thermal conductivity, low expansion coefficient, and does not react chemically with most acidic, alkaline, and salt solutions. It is easy to process and can be processed into various shapes with high precision. It is an ideal material as a supporting component for mechanical industry and chemical production. Special conductive carbon black mainly includes graphite bearings, piston rings, pistons, and sealing rings. These materials can operate normally without lubricating oil in corrosive media within the temperature range of -200 ℃ to+2000 ℃ and at high linear speeds (such as ≥ 100m/s).
When using special conductive carbon black for mechanical purposes, especially for sealing rings, resin or metal impregnated carbon materials are often used. Pure carbon materials are used for sealing or bearings that come into contact with corrosive liquids, as well as high-temperature bearings that cannot use general lubricating materials. Research on the manufacturing of high-performance products that can adapt to more demanding conditions such as temperature, pressure, and line speed has shown that it is necessary to use carbon black.
