When conducting chemical experiments on conductive carbon black, the pH value of the conductive carbon black should be checked in advance. Here we will introduce the method for detecting its pH value. Interested friends can learn more about it together!
1. Measurement of pH value of mixed solution: Take about 35g of conductive carbon black sample in a clean beaker, add 100ml of deionized water, and stir under a stirrer until the mixture is uniform. Use a calibrated acidity meter to measure the evenly mixed solution, measure it in parallel three times, and take the average value;
2. Measurement of pH value of lower layer material: Use a calibrated acidity meter to measure the pH value of the remaining conductive carbon black in the beaker, measure it in parallel three times, and obtain the average value;
3. Determination of pH value of supernatant: After the mixed solution is allowed to stand for 72 hours, the supernatant is sucked into another clean beaker using a rubber dropper. The pH value of the supernatant in the beaker is measured using a calibrated acidity meter, and the average value is taken by parallel measurement three times.
